ABOUT THE PROJECT
TRIUMF AMIRIA. The Museum of Queer Culture [?] is a project that aims to recover the queer cultural production of the last 20 years in Romania, and focuses on three directions: literature, visual arts and performing arts.
The project is run by MozaiQ LGBT Association in partnership with the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Replika Educational Theater Center and artist Kjersti Vetterstad (Norway). Throughout 2021 and early 2022 the project proposes a series of events meant to highlight the importance of queer culture in recent decades, but also to encourage new cultural production, by means of exhibitions, workshops, guided tours, theater performances, public readings and networking events.

The project takes place from March 2020 to March 2022. The total budget of the project is 1,057,556 RON, out of which 951,800 RON is the value of the non-reimbursable financial support.
The project is financed by the EEA Grants 2014 – 2021 within the RO-CULTURE Program.
EEA Grants represent the contribution of Iceland, the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Kingdom of Norway to reducing economic and social disparities in the European Economic Area and to strengthening bilateral relations with the 15 beneficiary states in Eastern and Southern Europe and the Baltic States. These funding mechanisms are established on the basis of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, which brings together the EU Member States and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway as equal partners in the internal market. In total, the three states contributed € 3.3 billion between 1994 and 2014 and € 1.55 billion for the 2014-2021 funding period. More details are available at: www.eeagrants.org and www.eeagrants.ro.
RO-CULTURA Program is implemented by the Ministry of Culture through the Project Management Unit and has as general objective the consolidation of economic and social development through cultural cooperation, cultural entrepreneurship and cultural heritage management. The budget of the Program is approximately 34 million euros. More details are available on www..ro-cultura.ro/en.
